It has begun
I started the first steps to my movie room.
Started painting my bonus room that I am turning into a theater. My sectional is being made right now and should be here in another month.
Here was first coat:
This is the 3rd coat starting to dry. I will be doing one more coat. It is dark!!! The reason I didn't paint to the ceiling is because I am putting
up crown molding. I also hadn't started cutting in the corners. I haven't decided what I am going to paint the ceiling yet.
The projector wall is being painted a flat ultra pure white and I will be sanding down the texture. After I get the projector and have the screen
measured out I will be building a screen out of black out cloth. I will be switching to canned lights.
My plan is to be shooting a 54"x96" for a 110" diagnal screen. (wall is 10.5' wide screen is 8' wide!)

Man, I am jealous of you. You are like 25 right? already got a house, nice car, a wife (okay I am not jealous of that at all) and you get to do cool
projects. My hands grow out my ass, so I don't I would ever be able to do something like that.

I'm looking at maybe getting a projector this summer. I wouldn't be able to pimp out like that (school is fond of us sanding down the walls and
painting) but god it would be so nice to not have to lug the 30" widescreen around with everything else!
Looking good, hope it all goes smoothly. You need a fridge, house-fan (for cigars), and light up beer sign and your good to go!

yeah 25 most projects are fairly easy, more time and money consuming then
anything else. Cost me about $200 just to paint the room once you add up the primer, paint and all the supplies. It just takes a matter of trying, I
am sure you would be fine. You just can't be scared to attempt things and if you fuck up oh well thats how you learn. Blue and reds are the biggest
pain in the ass to paint. They show streaks and usually require lots of coats even with the primer.

Room looks good so far Chevy, I painted our dining room a dark red this year, I know the pain of painting dark colors.

Little update:
1 more piece of the puzzle is done. Couch showed up yesterday. Its soo freakin comfy. Kimi made the comment that I didn't make all the pillows look
good for the picture lol Now I can hang my pictures and figure out speaker placement for the rears and start wiring.

Haha, before pics are pretty lame. Man, I think when I get a house/condo, I will paint all the walls different colors and take out that shitty as
carpet, wooden floors are the best shit ever.
Chevy, on the top of your painted wall, it seems like the line of paint is not straight, near the ceiling.
Also, what kind of TV are you getting?

yeah, painting sucks though lol. We have hardwoods downstairs and it's great for cleaning and easy to maintain (especially with dogs), but for
acoustics it sucks ass.
We didn't paint all the way to the ceiling because we are putting up Crown molding and it will cover that. It saved us time and trouble from having
to tape off the celing. There is about a 1" gap from the wall and the ceiling that didn't get painted so it looks like poo at the moment. You
won't see it when we're done. We are having our masterbedroom done at the same time (crown molding) to save money, that will probably be another
month when my brother in law isn't busy to help me.
As for tv, I am going with a Front projector. I think I have it Narrowed down to two (I keep changing my mind).

you wanna do stone/concrete floors talk to me, I can get you contractor pricing =P maybe less...
Of course concrete floors would suck in that room but if you do like tile, I can make your $14 bag of grout like $10

Flash didn't read it and then blamed me! He is a douche!
As for Curtains, yeah we were waiting to get the couch so we could match the color. It will be lined with blackout cloth that blocks 100% light.
I ordered my projector today for my birthday!! I went with the Panasonic AE900. So I should hopefully have more updates soon!!
