Okay difference between loan and CC was like $60 in interest so I got them to up my credit to $2500 and now I'm just waiting to hear back from the
sales guy at Visual Apex! I have been looking at UPS units now and am looking at this on New Egg, it makes me nervous that people really recommend the
APC line over Belkin, but this has decent reviews, and some people recommended it on AVS. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16842101227
Now to scout out DVD solution to. I decided to get just the projector and warranties from Visual and get everything else local so I can
return it easily if I decide to go another route.
I'm stoked!
EDIT: Wewt now to just wait a few days. This might be worse than when I had to wait for our first computer- thank god Gateway had magical shipping and
we got that in 3 days (I had sworn to sleep all day until it arrived).

haha they convinced you to get a upc backup? bah, how often do you lose power? I've lost power once since I've had it. I just put it on a surge
protector and don't worry about it.
Also I just realized this is MY THREAD! you should be posting in YOUR thread! damnit!

Heh I am a hijacker- I don't deserve my own thread. I'm setting a projector on top of a set of shelves and moving the couch over lol.
We lose power a lot, Spokane is pusy power, I've lost it probably twice in a few months already. Partly I figure I'm gunna spend $50 on a two-outlet
surge protector, might as well spend a day's work more to get full UPS.

Oh man shipping estimate is today! Wow I can't beleive it's 5 already almost. Fucking temp jobs. Worked yesterday from 2am till 10, slept from noon
to 6... now everything's fucked up. lol.
Anyway, do you use an upconvert player or do you have HDDVD/BluRay? I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do.

This is probably the single greatest purchase of my life. The screen is from ceiling to floor, probably like 140" diagonal and looks amazing. I
played a game of Shadowrun and watched a couple videos on 360. Now I'm about to pop Breach into the HD-DVD player for up-convert (I decided
to buy it and see how good it looks, if it isn't worth it I'll return it). Grabbing 300 in HD-DVD from Blockbuster online early next week too.
Thanks for all your help Brad!
Now I'm never going to be able to find a house come the time because I will absolutely have to have an unfinished room (or room I can tear apart) to
make a dedicated theatre. Pictures to come if my parents remember to bring their camera Monday.

Finally I can do some shit, stupid keyboard broke and thanks to the projector I had to wait for some payments to clear before I could drop 200 bones
on a new one lol.
So I might be sick, I've logged over 100 hours since the night of Friday the 3rd, less than a week and a half. The bad news is now I need to sit down
and actually figure out what to do to finalize everything.
1: That cyber-power UBS has to go back- as I suspected it would, it overloads with anything more than just the projector plugged into UBS. Guess I'll
try the Geek Squad one (worried about ordering that Belkin since would be a pain to return).
2: Now I finally need to sit down and compare the picture of the HD-A2 and the Xbox 360 (as a reference point) on DVDs to see if upscaling is worth it
or not. Then I need to pop in Smokin Aces on HDDVD and see if the HD player is worth it anyway.
3: Gotta break out that damn tape measure and see just how much speaker wire I need to mount everything- thanks a ton for that
Monoprice link- I've been looking hard and nothing comes even close to their price- even Home Depot's bulk wire (even non-speaker wire, just
making the cheapest thing that will get two wires) doesn't come close- let alone close to MonoPrice's 12 AWG.
4: Gotta decide how I want to run my PC- getting the 35' (ugh) VGA cable from monoprice but trying to figure out audio. HD-DVD and Xbox 360 take up
my two optical, so coaxial is all that is left. I used to run coaxial with just a basic composite cable- not sure if that actually works or not,
either way I need a long one.

Chevy what subs are you running for your home theater?

My current Sub setup:
In the front I have a Polk Audio PSW202 10" I got from a friend and in the rear behind the couch I have a Denon 6" down firing sub. They do a pretty
good job compressing the room, but they don't go down much below 40hz. They start to clip at loud volumes sometimes.
I plan to upgrade to either HSU VTF-3 MK3 or SVS PB12-Plus. They both go down to 18-20hz and will rock my room. I
would move the Polk to the rear and ditch the Denon.
This is the Polk:
And the Denon:

I bought 4 Speakercraft AIM8 in ceiling speakers and the Definitive Technology ProSub 1000 for my house. I also bought the Klipsch Sub-10 because I
couldn't decide between the 2 subs. Still have to return one. The guy at bb said Def Tech is much better quality sound and Klipsch just hits
harder.

no offense, but that Klipsch sub is probably junk haha. I can send you a bunch of links tonight I have them at home of really good best bang for the
buck subs. That Def. tech sub looks decent and is most likely better then the Klipsch. I can't imaging it hitting harder when its only rated to
28hz.
Try them both out though and play with positions. Where you place a sub can make a huge difference. What size is your room? that will really
determine how big of a sub you need.
What is your budget? I would look for a used SVS sub on Audiogon or craigslist. They are the best bang for the buck on the market.
So what's the rest of your setup going to be?

My recommended home theater subwoofers:
http://www.svsound.com/products-sub.cfm (by far the best their cylinders are
bad ass too.)
http://www.hsuresearch.com/subwoofers.html
http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/index.php?cPath=2_41
http://www.epiksubwoofers.com/
http://www.outlawaudio.com/products/index.html (LFM-1)
You just won't find a sub that can compete with these at a Best buy, circuit city, etc...

I can't afford those man. I'd say a max of $350. I paid $250 for the Def Tech because of my discount(half off). I don't work there anymore
though.
The whole room is about 18-20ft x 12ft but the area where the home theater is positioned is about 12x12ft.

Come on you're a high roller you can afford it! haha
Just try out what you have now, you might really like them. I mean my subs are far from what I want but I am happy with them.
haha I guess you posted while I was posting. Cool setup, should be nice when you get it all up and running.

Looks nice. I haven't setup my stuff yet and I've been in the new house for a year and a half already haha! I'm gonna buy a new receiver very
soon. Maybe a Yamaha.
